The $5,000 Andrew L. Patterson Scholarship
Dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders, the Andrew L. Patterson Scholarship provides $5,000 in financial support to students pursuing higher education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This award honors the legacy of Andrew L. Patterson by helping students overcome financial barriers and thrive in their academic journeys.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be graduating high school seniors committed to attending an HBCU.
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale is required for all students.

Scholarship Terms and Conditions
Applicants must understand and agree to the scholarship terms and conditions, including maintaining the required GPA and using scholarship funds solely for educational expenses. Educational expenses are defined as: tuition, fees, books, supplies, room and board, transportation, technology, and course-related equipment or fees, and extenuating life circumstances.
Disbursement Policy
Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the financial aid office in two installments:
50% at the start of the fall semester upon proof of enrollment.
50% at the start of the spring semester upon verification of continued eligibility.
